Privacy Notice

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Who we are

This notice explains how The Seun Onakoya Company ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit www.seunonakoya.com, contact us or use our services. We are the data controller for this information. Our address is 3F3 Threshold Business Suite, Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Wuye, Abuja, Nigeria, and you can reach us at info@seunonakoya.com.

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies, other data protection laws.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, job title, city and country.
  • Enquiry and booking details: the information you give us in forms, emails and calls, including your goals and the reason for your enquiry.
  • Coaching records: notes, questionnaires and materials created in the course of coaching.
  • Comments: the name and comment you post on our articles, which are published, and your email address, which is never published.
  • Website data: technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies as described below.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiries and arrange calls.
  • To provide coaching, training and other services you have asked for.
  • To keep financial records.
  • To send our newsletter, where you have subscribed.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To protect our forms from spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Our lawful basis

We process personal data because you have consented, because it is needed to provide a service you have asked for, because the law requires it, or because it is in our legitimate interest to run, secure and improve our business in ways you would reasonably expect. Every form on this website asks you to confirm your consent before it is sent, and we keep a record of that confirmation.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. Every form asks you to confirm that you are 18 years or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Where we run programmes for schools, any information about students is handled through the school and with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please email info@seunonakoya.com and we will delete it.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it. These include our booking calendar, our email and website hosting providers and our newsletter platform. If you take the CliftonStrengths assessment, you complete it on Gallup's platform, and Gallup handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Some features of this website rely on other services, which receive your IP address and basic device information when they are used:

  • Google reCAPTCHA checks that forms are sent by people and not automated programs. It loads only when you start filling in a form.
  • Google Maps (map of our office), our booking calendar and TSOC Game Based Learning load only after you agree to external content in the cookie settings or choose to load them.
  • Google Analytics, if we use it, loads only after you agree to analytics cookies.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) receives your details only if you choose to message us through it.

We do not sell personal data.

Transfers outside Nigeria

Some of our service providers store data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take the steps the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires to ensure your data is adequately protected.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to two years after our last contact with you, after which they are deleted automatically. We keep client and payment records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes. We then delete or anonymise the data.

Photographs and video

Photographs of our sessions and events are published only with the consent of the people who can be identified in them, and we remove any photograph on request. We do not use photographs for facial recognition or any other biometric processing. This website does not ask visitors to upload profile pictures; comments show your initial only.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • be told how your data is used;
  • access a copy of your data;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted, where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
  • restrict or object to our use of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@seunonakoya.com. We will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Newsletter

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter, or on our unsubscribe page. When you unsubscribe we stop sending you emails straight away.
